Meraki (mare-uh-ky) is a Greek word that roughly means “To do something with love, soul, and creativity. To leave a piece of yourself in your creative work”. This brand thrives off of that ideology, each design embraces those ideas into each and every print. Meraki is more than just a few people making clothes, it is an expression of what we as people feel on our darkest days and our brightest moments.

Why was Meraki founded?
“Growing up, the texture and quality of clothing always bothered me. I hated when i washed my hoodie and it had that rough, itchy texture. I never found a hoodie that I truly loved. Texture has always bothered me. Meraki thrives to provide textures that are comfortable and that will stand the test of time.”
“I have always had a entrepreneurial type spirit, I loved creating stuff and trying to sell them, or coming up with ideas to create a small business. It probably rooted from my parents who have owned many small businesses. I grew up in that type of environment and I guess it followed me to adulthood.”
“I remember back in high school, I took this art class. Part of an assignment for that class was to create a design for a t-shirt. I created a Mr. Krabs design from SpongeBob. The next part of the assignment was to put that design on the shirt. I guess I never realized that I really enjoyed that. I decided to make a few extras and try to sell them, and that I did. Of course they were awful designs and cheap quality shirts but still, I enjoyed it. That was one of the things in the back of my mind when I created Meraki”.

Our Process
Come Behind the Scenes and dive into what it’s like making our favorite apparel!
The process begins with the conceptualization and creation of designs. The Meraki Apparel team comes together in a series of collaborative meetings to brainstorm, refine, and finalize the designs for the upcoming apparel launch. Each team member contributes their expertise, ensuring that every design reflects the brand's vision and aligns with current trends. After extensive discussions and revisions, the team selects the final designs, which will serve as the foundation for the next collection. This meticulous process ensures that the designs are not only visually appealing but also meet the high standards of quality and creativity that Meraki Apparel thrives for.
Following the team's meeting, the designs are printed, and the process of finalizing the measurements and intricate details of each design begins. This stage involves meticulous attention to precision, ensuring that all specifications align with the intended vision and production standards. The team reviews every aspect to guarantee accuracy, quality, and consistency across all designs before moving forward with the next phase of production.
Once all designs and materials are finalized, the manufacturing team initiates the production process. We are currently in the process of establishing our new Meraki Apparel studio, set to open in April 2025. As we prepare for this exciting transition in our apparel production process, the team remains focused on designing innovative items for future releases, ensuring a continuous flow of new and high-quality products. This development will further enhance our capabilities and support the growth of the Meraki Apparel brand.
Once the apparel items are produced, we begin the process of recruiting models to showcase our designs. All model photos can be found under the "Team" tab. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication of every team member, model, and customer. Without your support and the hard work of our exceptional team, we would not be where we are today.
